Biography

Elise is a natural “connector” and has a unique set of skills that enable her to match the right person with the right opportunity. Her business venture – Newhill Recruitment – does just that. She is passionate about helping businesses find the best talent to ensure they grow. Elise’s hands-on approach will work with you to understand your unique needs in order to secure the best candidate for you and your Centre.

Elise holds  a Diploma in Early Childhood and Care as well as an Advanced Diploma in Leadership and Management.  She is also a Certified French Teacher, a Certified Yoga Teacher for Children, and a Justice of the Peace. 

My story

Elise Charriere was born in Switzerland and grew up in the idyllic Swiss Alps, where her Dad was a primary school teacher. It is this early foundation that has instilled a love of education in her.

Elise’s career began working for a Swiss non-government organisation which taught her a great deal about working with other cultures and diverse workplace processes and systems.

She moved back to Lausanne where she worked for the prestigious Swiss hospitality school (EHL) in project management and finance. This led to a move to one of the Big Four global consulting companies, where she moved between Switzerland and Australia.

This proved to be very fortuitous as in 2014 Elise secured work for a well-established local architecture firm where she co-project managed the launch of their in-house childcare facility. The success of this enabled the firm to open this facility to the public.  A fundamental part of the success of this venture was the sourcing and recruitment and induction of key staff which Elise oversaw as well as running the Centre.
